The Florida Brewers Guild (FBG) incorporated as a not for profit Florida organization in September 1996. The Guild formed for the purposes of educating the public about the brewing industry in the state of Florida; promoting networking and educational opportunities between brewers, consumers, suppliers and governmental regulatory agencies; continually promoting free market access of the Florida brewing industry to the public.

The Board of Directors of the FBG is a group of seven Florida brewers who continue to explore many of the possibilities that face the brewing industry in Florida. We believe that working together for the benefit of the public, private enterprise and the brewing industry, the Florida Brewers Guild provides a forum able to address the concerns, issues and desires of brewers, suppliers, distributors, the public, and the many tourists in Florida, throughout the 21st Century.

Strong and active members in the Guild are crucial to effectively carry out the goals that we define and commit ourselves to. Among these goals has been the creation of the Florida Brewers Festival, bringing together all the brewers in the state in order for the public to sample the great variety of beers made in Florida. This helps give Florida the recognition it deserves as no longer the “last frontier” in the brewing renaissance sweeping the country, but as a “new frontier” for growth, possibility and tradition.

In addition to the Florida Brewers Festival, the FBG has developed the
FBG Passport, helping to inform everyone of the great variety and growth of the Florida brewing industry.

The FBG also helps connect those interested in upgrading the statutes of the Florida Beverage Law to better reflect the growth and change of the Florida brewing industry.
